Background

Ashlee is a diligent, hard-working attorney with an inherent sense of justice and a mind for utilizing procedure to build a winning case.  She finds fulfillment in guiding her clients through difficult decisions and times in their lives, and she is passionate about client care.

Ashlee E. Dunham began practicing law in Texas in 2013.  She practiced as a litigator and trial lawyer all over the state until she relocated to Colorado and joined the firm as an associate in February of 2020.  She was admitted to practice law in Colorado in June of 2020, and she still maintains her license to practice law in Texas.

Before pursuing her law degree, Ashlee graduated from the University of North Texas in 2003 with a B.A. in Philosophy. Having a passion for the protection of the environment, she pursued graduate work in Environmental Ethics through 2006.  In 2010, Ashlee began pursing her legal education and obtained her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in May of 2013, where she was recognized for her commitment to pro bono service by the Pro Bono Honors Program (2011), awarded the Amicus Achievement Grant (2012-2013), and served as President of the Amicus Law Society (2011-2013).  Ashlee was awarded the Emerging Leader Award in 2013 by the Stonewall Law Association of Greater Houston (SLAGH) and served on the Board of Directors of SLAGH from 2013 through 2019.  Ashlee co-founded the Name/Gender Marker Change Pro Bono Clinic in May of 2014.

Ashlee has extensive experience in litigation and trial, and has argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals.

In 2019, she was recognized as one of Houston’s Top Lawyers.  She was selected as a Super Lawyers Texas Rising Star in 2019 and 2020.  She was selected as a Super Lawyers Colorado Rising Star in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Personal Interests

In her spare time, Ashlee enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, volunteering, kickboxing, surfing, enjoying visual, literary, and performing arts events in the Denver metro area, reading, and spending time with her loved ones.  Ashlee is thrilled that Colorado is now her home, where she often trekked into the solitude of the mountains in the summers of her undergraduate and graduate education.
